takes place every Sunday at St John’s and is our ‘Sunday School’. It is open to children of all ages, from babies upwards. Children begin in Church, and are then called to the front, being given a Bible, a candle and the Sunday Club banner to take with them. They then go to the hall where they will hear an appropriate story and learn through activity and craft about our faith. Children come back in just before communion.

In addition, there is a well-equipped creche room at the back of St John’s. This is a carpeted room with books and toys for children, a comfortable settee, ideal for mums, and  a space where children can let off steam!

On the first Sunday of the month we have a ‘Family Mass’. This allows children to spend more time in Church. Often the sermon contains content for children, the prayers are led by children, and the children stay in for the second part of the Mass, the eucharistic prayer, watching from the front of the Church.IMG_4782
